Car turns off randomly when driving. Majority of the time it happens when the car is slowing down or turning. Check engine light just turned on 8/27 reading code PO101 meaning there isn-??t enough fuel getting to the engine or too much is going to the engine.

I have experienced repeated and frequent problems with my vehicle: Shuts off for no reason daily, often at a traffic light or just after I begin accelerating; the transmission is faulty (has already been replaced once at 97,000 miles at great expense) and simply stops working at unexpected times (e.g. while driving down the road it slips into neutral and won't move, shudders, etc. I have to turn my Fiesta off and restart to get it to move).. this is a very dangerous vehicle and I cannot afford to replace it. I read that Ford has been aware of these issues from date of manufacture, and has not publicly acknowledged. It is my understanding that engineers of the Fiesta are now going public. When is something going to be done" why do I have to wait until I have been seriously injured, or worse, to get redress for what Ford Motor Company was aware of, and covered up, even while these vehicles were being manufactured" this is a continuing issue, not a single or even a 20 time occurance.

Terrible shuttering from the transmission, I had to bring it to the local Ford after I changed the battery, it wouldn't shift thought the gears. So they changed the transmission control module and the solenoid's, 4 months later my fiance was driving down the high way and the car looses all power (steering, braking, E.C.T) I take it to the local Ford dealer it takes them 32 days to get back to me to tell me its going to need a new transmisson witch cost $4,800 to fix a $7,500 car and there's nothing they can do about that. Knowing that this is a major problem for these vehicles. Car just rejects fuel and fuel pumps randomly.

Ford Fiesta, 2012 are not worth anyone's money. The moment I got it, the A/C would not blow anything out, my car would stop at stop signs and in the middle of the road when not in motion and trying to pass traffic, which is completely life threatening. It has a bunch of electrical issues and will start flashing (the warning signs) and then stop randomly. It is jerking at almost all times and shuts off a ton, I have gotten it checked multiple times and spent more than I can afford. This vehicle is ridiculous and I intend to tell everyone I know!!! I am always scared when driving my own car that I spent thousands on, Ford needs to figure this out

I bought my car in 2011, and since 2012 my air conditioner only blows hot air. I have had it replaced multiple times, but it continues to break. My transmission, after several recalls, has continued to slip and mess up. Now, in the 4th year of me having my new car, I cannot pump gas at any station. When the nozzle is in the fuel tank, it continues to cut off, causing me to take 10X the amount to pump gas as it used it.

October 24, 2012 I was driving to work. I accelerated very gingerly (the powershift is effectively two three speed manuals so you can't just jab it) to pass. The car geared into a lower gear as expected and the engine RPM's spiked as expected. The light at the intersection was turning red so I braked easily to bring the car to a stop. At this point the car was holding the lower gear and revving out of control. I was able to stop the car (as it was trying to overpower the brakes) and place it into neutral which stopped the problem. The car then died and would not restart for approximately 5 minutes. I restarted the car. As I was getting off the interstate, I was merging into traffic the transmission geared down again. The problem repeated. I tried placing the car in neutral again, however, this did nothing. I cut the car off completely at 50 mph. My steering got really heavy. I used the brakes and the emergency brake to slow the car and strong arm the wheel to the side of the road. The transmission is junk and the dealership is replacing many parts including a couple clutches (it only has two I believe) and some other internals. This car is not safe. It accelerated out of control and would not respond to commands from the gear selector. I powered off the car to avoid further damage or accident.
