2012 Ford Fiesta. Consumer writes in regard to transmission control module safety recall. The consumer requested an extension on the transmission warranty. As the failure occured prior to the warranty expiration date. The consumer was unable to have the vehicle serviced until after the waranty expired. Also, the vehicle was under the mileage requirement for the failure. The manufacturer was notified.
