Blend door actuator started making a super loud clicking noise for months before the AC failed. I was living in Miami and driving without AC in the summer is practically a death sentence. In order to "fix" they had to take apart the entire dashboard costing over $1k. Once the AC was fixed the blend door actuator continued to make the same horrible noise and another new one which was rapid-fire clacking. Although the AC was fixed after the $1k repair, the sound itself never went away.
