After grocery shopping decided place a case of water in the rear seat on the passenger side. Door made worrying "thunk" when closed and just came back open. Inspected latch; no longer locks in place when closed. Luckily wife was with me and could sit in the rear seat on the way home while holding the door closed.

I barely use my back seat and I randomly open the door and all of a sudden, it will not close. It just does not make sense.
