Received the Battery Junction Box recall notice from Ford and subsequently arranged for the service. The dealer installed the initial maintenance recall work which is only preventitive (cleaning and resealing the box) but substantial corrosion damage had already occurred. Within the next week there was no difference and we returned to the Dealer.
They supported us in that they believe the battery junction box needs replacing. They noted obvious corrosion along with typical symptoms we have noted.
This is a real dangerous issue with lights going out and even sometimes total loss of electrical power ... dash, electric power steering, radio and has stalled and not restarted in intersections with no electrical power. This is my daughter's car and I'm concerned about night time use and the lights failing on the highway.
What is deeply concerning is that Ford is choosing NOT to do the work and is saying that the symptoms do not relate to the issue however the dealership listed all the symptoms and agrees it is related.
I feel that the car is not safe to drive nor would we be able to sell it without full disclosure. I'm a mechanical engineer with a lifetime of automotive experience (Father was a Ford dealer for 30 years) so I understand the importance of the recall in this matter.

Low beam light relay terminal corroded from road salt. This seems to be a common issue for pre-2014 fiestas and sure enough it happened to me. Low beams went out but brights still worked and I was able to drive to work until dealership got it fixed (and sealed the new battery junction box too) for free under a customer satisfaction program. Glad Ford was proactive about resolving this issue.
