This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Ford dealer.
Apparently seeyle ford rigged the part instead of replacing it the first time. Their wonderful service Dept wanted me to pay them to rent a car again. What f** bullshit. Their response to me was that they had 9other vehicles in the service Dept with the same problem and that they couldn’t get the part. Not my problem!! That’s stinking Fords problem and the dealerships. I almost took the roof of that dealership.
Well today 12/27/2017 my car is at the dealership today with the same damn problem.

blower motor freezes after fresh snowfall
For the 3rd time I had to take my car into the Ford service department to deal with the SAME ISSUE. After a fresh snowfall the heater blower motor freezes into an ice block due to faulty engineering of the air intake system. The first time I had this happen was Nov 28, 2014 (taken to Ford on the 29). The second time was Jan 12, 2015 (taken in on Jan 13).
After this visit, the ford technicians had allowed my car to warm up for a long enough time that upon investigation, no problem was identified. My service report stated that the blower seemed to be working fine and after a short test run, the heater was blowing hot air as per usual. Thanks Ford for your handy detective work. Maybe if you would look at the car based on the REPORTED ISSUE (hence ICE BLOCK) you would realize that if everyone had access to a heated garage, this would not be an issue. UNFORTUNATELY this is not the reality and my car lives outdoors and does not have a chance to thaw (nor should it need special care and attention to function properly).
This is NOT a new problem. Fiestas have had this issue, KNOW TO FORD, since 2010, and NOTHING has been done to rectify the issue. Many Canadians are without working heaters due to a lack of care or concern from Ford to fix the engineering flaw that is causing a recurring issue in their Fiestas.

blower motor freezes completely after fresh snowfall
My brand new 2014 Ford Fiesta has a LOVELY issue where it snows and the heater blower motor STOPS WORKING! The snow finds it's way into the air intake and once my car is parked for the night (or a few hours depending on how cold it is), the whole blower motor freezes into a useless block until it is taken to the warmth of a heated garage (aka the dealership service department) to thaw out. Living in Alberta, this is a very difficult situation, as I have to drive without heat, with the windows cracked to avoid frosting up, all the way to the service bay at the dealership.
Ford service had a TSB for a replacement shield to cover the air intake, which would supposedly fix the issue. This repair DID NOT resolve said issue and I was back at Ford with the same issue in January, 2015.

Ford "FIXED" this loud clicking once before, no charge (if memory serves me right) If I leave my heater turned on it stops, at least for now. Worried about it going out. This noise is so loud it sounds as if someone has a hammer banging on dash. THIS DEALER IS SLICK. At one time my radio & phone went out they wanted $180.00 to fix it (after they looked at it) member of my family disconnected the battery, let it set for couple of mintues hooked it backup, and solved the problem
