Well my car had to be towed to Seeyle Ford today. I’m having the same problem I had when I first purchased the car. I was told that I would have to pay the $105 fee to diagnose the problem and cover all the other expenses and they would not give me a car to use. I ended up renting a car from enterprise at $30a day. I also have had issues with the transmission on this car and they had to rebuild part of it already. I say Lemon Law!!
Update from Dec 27, 2017: I forgot to add I was told by Chris Witter (who apparently is the shop foreman according to his business card) to call Ford and see if they would wave the $105 diagnoses fee. I specially asked for a manager not the shop foreman. I called the 800number at 4:45pm and the gal claimed she couldn’t hear me.
So I called the 800 number again at 4:48pm and was on hold for 20 minutes and never got through to a person. Keep hearing a recording about high number of calls.
Called the number again at 5:48pm same thing again and was disconnected.
Called it again at 6:47pm on hold forever again and same thing disconnected again.
Called at 7:24pm same thing again.
My question is why am I the one calling ford motor. I thought they were the ones in a customer service oriented business

Once again (time number 2), I took my BRAND NEW Ford Fiesta into the service department to fix THE SAME ISSUE that I had taken it in for a month prior. The heater blower motor freezes after a snowfall due to the air intake sucking snow into the vents and resulting in a solid block of ice stopping the blower from functioning. I have reviewed forums and I AM NOT the only person to experience this issue. I live in a province where having a working heater is an absolute necessity as it is VERY COLD and having to drive with the windows cracked without heat is hazardous and inconvenient. I bought a brand new vehicle to avoid having issues that would require frequent visits to the service department....
Fix #1 was to replace the intake screen with a different shield manufactured by Ford as a solution. This DID NOT work.
Fix # 2 was to replace the resistor on my blower motor. This DID NOT work.

The following is the complaint I have submitted to Transport Canada: "Windshield was clear upon leaving because car had been parked facing the sun. As the cold outside temperature is hitting the windshield, the windshield became fogged up and I turned heater on, there was no air whatsoever coming from vents. This quickly produced zero visibility and I nearly rear ended the vehicle in front of me. Luckily my side windows were still clear and I managed to maneuver my vehicle to the side of the road. After doing research via internet, this is a recurring issue and needs immediate attention. Even though there has been a "fix" apparently it is only temporary in some instances. There was a TSB issued to Ford Service on January 29, 2014, yet my lease began in Sept. 2014 and I strongly feel that it should have been looked after before then and not after my near collision.
As a side note: The day after the "fix" was completed at the dealer, my high beams and rear defrost have stopped working. Appointment is set for Monday, Feb 16th 2014 at dealer."
While my Fiesta was spending the weekend (Feb. 6-9, 2015) thawing out at the dealer, I was at the mercy of having to rent a vehicle. I was not impressed that they couldn't give me a loaner but was offered a discount at Discount Car Rental in Moncton through Taylor Ford Moncton, NB. Now for the kicker!!!! Guess who owns Discount Car Rental,,,,yup,,,Terry Taylor, owner of Taylor Ford!!! WHAT A FARCE!!!!!!!

Today I took my car into the Ford service department once again for THE SAME ISSUE that has happened 3 times already this winter (the last time being February 2). I am FED UP with having no heat due to the blower motor becoming a frozen block of ice after a fresh snowfall. The air intake shield has been replaced to "stop" snow particles from being sucked in, thus causing said issue. This "fix" DID NOT work.
I have no trust in my car, I have no trust in Ford having a fix for this issue. I have read posts and forums and many other people have experiencing this issue. It is KNOWN TO FORD and has been since 2010. Ford has not fixed this issue from recurring.
I have had a replacement air intake shield and a new blower motor resistor. Neither of these repairs has stopped the issue from recurring. There is no permanent fix, and I will not trust that this issue with be resolved until Ford engineers a different intake system/placement of the blower motor in their Fiestas. No other sub-compact has this issue (including the Mazda 2 which shares a body with the Fiesta) why does Ford???
I no longer wish to own a vehicle that is hazardous to drive, let alone unreliable and therefore cannot be driven further than 20 minutes from home. In Alberta it is IMPERATIVE that a BRAND NEW CAR have a functioning heater in the middle of winter. It is DANGEROUS, not to mention extremely uncomfortable, to drive around in a car without heat, with the windows cracked, when it is -15 and colder.
Ford has yet to respond to my request to have them permanently fix the issue by getting me into a different vehicle. The dealership claims that their "hands are tied" as far as offering viable options. So far the only option is for me to take a hit of THOUSANDS of dollars to trade up into something different. Unacceptable and definitely NOT what I will be settling for.

New Year’s Eve night of 2013 the blower wouldn’t work on my car. No heat no nothing. I took the car in the following day and got the run around and was told that I would have to pay for a rental car. This was a brand new car that I didn’t even own for 40 days. Seeyle fords customer service down right sucks,I ended up calling one of the managers and telling him what I thought of his dealership and product so they waved the car rental. Well they never fixed it right in the first place and I had to take it back again on 1/24/2014.
