My Toyota had AC problem, fixed under warranty. My dealer had Enterprise give me loaner, a Ford Fiesta. Kept getting bump sound back seat, got to destination to find the backs of split rear seats had folded down onto my stuff. I pushed them back, they fell down. No corner locks, no resistance or click, seat backs were loose. Examination revealed a short metal bar at middle of seat back with bumps which obviously hooked into something, but nothing there!!!! Back hatch area empty, no bars, no locks, nothing.

What happened to this car. A 2014 car w/ 7000 miles and non locking seat backs in back seat. I would not put my dogs back there. A baby seat!!!!!! heck no.

I do not know if this car was altered by someone, but it looked like it was designed with no seat locks in upper corners like on my Camry. Only this mid-seat bar (diameter looked like 1/2" metal bars). My back seats fold flat to extend truck space, but seat backs lock securely.

I am mystified and horrified by this design and the safety aspect. No way the back seats look safe even with the mid seat bar locked into some other metal. But this had nothing at all.

Compared to my Toyota Camry 2012, even the design of the console sucked. Poor design of gauges, screen at top center of gauge area had screen that showed a graphic of car (in case I forget I am in car) with mileage below and big display saying DISTANCE TO E, and a mileage showing how many miles I had until empty. The wheel had an unmarked OK directional button for???? Radio does not turn off after car turned off, until door is opened. Long row of buttons with RADIO etc, but pushing radio button does not turn on radio. Does nothing to larger screen display above audio system. Unmarked dial turns radio on and off. Lights do not automatically go on at dusk, must be manually turned on. Arm for running wipers and washers is like a turkey drumstick, with dials to turn, button on end and on top of stick. I could not get the rear wiper to turn off by fooling with it. What were they thinking? Things I look at often, the clock, gas gauge were not clear and big. A mess, cluttered and designed with no common sense. With Toyota, you do not need to consult the manual to turn off wipers or adjust temp. All dials and screens are big, clear and uncluttered. Confusing and dangerous to have to fool with multiple functions on sticks, when driving.

Oh and the front wipers cross. They actually cross. Right side one goes under left and flips independently not together. Drove my crazy.

I really appreciate my Toyota Camry now!!! Ford, it is the 21st century!!
