I purchased this car for a commuter. It was supposed to be great on fuel and economical. The 1.0 was to give it power AND economy. Not long after, Ford de-rated the fuel economy and gave me a check for ~200$? Not ideal.
Later, just outside the powertrain warranty, the engine lost power and failed going up a mountain. NO WARNING. No lights came on to indicate an issue or overtemp condition. After tow to dealer, it was found to be a catastrophic failure. Ford did finally agree to "assist" in replacing the engine.
Later... again, with about the same mileage on the replacement motor, this happened again. SAME issue. NO WARNINGS. Same catastrophic failure.
This engine / cooling system has a defect. The gauges DO NOT warn the operator in time to prevent a catastrophic failure. It is a DEFECT that is costing us.
Now I see the Ford is compensating NON USA customers for this engine. WHAT ABOUT US USA CUSTOMERS??? You know, Ford made in USA???? Go USA? USA Built? Ford is screwing its own country.
