The transmission shift level locks in Park. The vehicle is available for inspection. Safety was a concern as I was stopped in a school unloading zone/fire lane and was unable to place the shifter in drive. This caused the lane to be blocked. I googled the problem, and was able to remove a cover and access a manual release. I do not know if the problem was previously inspected, however, it is a common search item on Google/internet. There was no prior warning. The problem persists and I will have it checked.

Transmission malfunctions while accelerating. Pulling into a busy road, the vehicle randomly stops accelerating which cause other vehicles to swerve to avoid a crash. The RMP will increase and loose acceleration and then there is no function of the acceleration. As soon as the warning light came on, contacted a dealer and the wait times are over 2 months. The dealer does not want to keep the vehicle and prefers you keep driving until they call you to bring it in.

I am remembering one incident I had years ago. It was my first year since I got my first driver license. I parked my car. While I was getting off with half of my body already outside the car, my car started moving forward. I jumped back in a car in a shock and tried to stop the car. I realized that I had not removed my car key. I also realized that a stick shift was in neutral position. I told myself that it was my wrong-doing, but after reading numerous complaints and lawsuits against Ford Fiesta over the last years, I am not so sure if it was my fault or the car's defect. It happened only once and can not reproduce this. Around the same time, I have also experienced car not starting several times but again I told myself I am just an idiot for not knowing how to start a car. I did Pre-Purchase Car Inspection in October 2016. The inspection report noted that my car had Engine Lights on with code U0131 and codeC0051. I received a CSP14M02 letter last Sunday and went to the dealership on Monday for TCM repair or replacement, but I was turned away.

My vehicle was serviced by elk grove ford service dept. only 250 miles ago and the vehicle is back in for more service. time before did the same thing said the problem was this and when they repaired they called and said this is now wrong, I keep asking why no answer. Now the vehicle had to be taken in and I believe because I have put in complaints before that they are f with me and messing with me I told them elk grove ford [XXX] that the engine light came on and the wrench light on the engine came on, they called me and told me around march 30th that it needed this and that, they came back now and said the power train control module is needed and they cant find any part for it I found a part the advisor said the parts person looked half a day I don't believe them as see that the pcm can maybe reset they have not said to me if they tried resetting the pcm and I would like the part number. I feel I am being set up for more charges as if they would have check the wrench lamp I would not have two charges, they keep repairing items that I believe did not need to be replacement as the plugs were working find. As I'm driving the car will stop if I get it to go again it won't pick up speed, it will rev up but not go, I was told that it has all the original parts that was until I had someone look at it for the problem stated since then it has new spark plugs new front brakes, break's in back have been rotated new tires, I'm still paying a car note on this car I've had to pay towing fees and still the problem persist I'm scared to put my boys in this car but it's our only form of transportation the dealer that sold me this car is horrible and Ford was of no help, still trying to find the main issue.

The first time was before maria took the car to the Ford of Carolina in puerto rico. I was informed to call a number that was in the letter. I called and I never got my phone answered. Then after maria (the hurricane) they were not tending to anyone and there was a role letting us know that I could go to Ford de fajardo, Ford de ponce, Ford of kennedy avenue or the Ford de caguas. For my condition, it was pertinent to be cared for in Carolina. After that day they closed trades and left (so as not to serve anyone). Then 2 letters arrived and informed me that I had to wait for a third letter to arriven the information of proceed to repair the doors that open when the carriage is being driven from the inside out.

Clicking sound just randomly started from inside the dashboard, within few seconds of starting the engine. A quick youtube search came back with HVAC blend door motor as the culprit. Seems like a common issue but a huge nuisance as these small parts starts randomly wearing out in less than 100K miles / within 6 years.

Locks, today is May 14, 2020. I was at the store and trying to lock my car and it will not turn to lock so I had to lock from the inside, I already have and issue with ine key not locking the doors now the actual lock does not want to lock with the key.

My door all of sudden open when I was driving on the street while having my daughter in the back street which scared me. Thinking it was my door who open the door but I have the child safety on. But after pulling to the side I realize that's not problem. It was my door that does want to latch anymore.

My radio started acting strangely about 3 months ago. When the radio was on there was irregular squealing coming from it. When it first started, the squealing was only when the radio was on and I was driving the car. Later, the squealing also started to include loud popping noises, very much like an old stereo speaker losing its wire connection. The loud popping was very inconsistent. It then started happening every time I was in the car. It didn't matter if the radio was on or not. I even tried turning down the volume, while the radio was off. The popping noise was extremely loud and distracting while trying to drive the vehicle. Many time because the pop was so loud I would jerk the steering wheel in one direction or another. Passengers that rode in my car during some of the incidences had commented on it hurting their ears and making them jump or jerk in their seat. Then, one day the popping was happening almost continuously and then just stopped. Now leaving me without a radio and phone connection. I searched the internet to try to figure out the problem and have found that this is an extremely common defect in the Ford Fiesta. The erratic loud popping is a very dangerous distraction while you are driving and I feel it is very much a safety hazard.
