Bought car brand new from Geneva Friendly Ford. Took it home and noticed after a rain storm that the car has water between the entire length of the interior of the doors and the car sill. It also has rain in the trunk grooves as well. Does not get into the plastic part of the doors or the floor boards inside the carpet area of the car. Happens to all 4 doors and the trunk. Very concerned about central NY snow storms with slush and salt being sent up into the door areas and trunk.
I called Ford motor company and spoke with Erica who stated that this is "Characteristic for this model as well as the Focus." That is totally UNACCEPTABLE. Ford is saying that it is "OK" to sell a brand new car with design flaws and not let us the consumers know up front that we are paying top dollar for an inferior product. It is FRAUD and I am pissed! Need to hear from others out there if you are doing anything about the same situation I am dealing with. I took it to the dealership and they took a Fiesta from off their lot ran a spray hose on it and got the same results that I have with my car. Their solution was to silicon it. Are you really going to put silicon all over the car - That would be a temporary fix at best and I did not buy a brand new car to have it siliconed. I have requested my money from the dealership and as of right now - that has not happened as of yet.
