Fiesta LX 1.6L Tivct Duratech Doch

  • Manual transmission
  • 9,200 miles

My Ford Fiesta has less then 9500 miles an already having problems on the manual transmission, I almost have a collision due to the slip on the manual transmission on firs gear. I took the vehicle at the FORD DEALER at LAREDO since May 3, 2019. The Dealer start doing the diagnostics until May 8, 2019. After the diagnostics, I was told that they need to do an overhaul on the manual transmission. Until today (5/20/2019) they can't find all the parts that they need to do the overhaul. How is that possible coming from a FORD Dealer. I was told from the Service Advisor that they need to look for the main transmission gear shift out of state, that the FORD doesn't have the part in Texas. I checked on the website for that part and is available. How is that possible that the FORD DOESN'T HAVE THE PART as a Dealer they should have all the parts required to do any repairs. I was told that it will take another two weeks to get the part from out of state. Also I was told "if the FORD DEALER doesn't have the part out of state they will required to built one that will take another two weeks to built the part". It looks to me that they are making excuses not to do the repairs. I'm getting real upset that the FORD knowing that the FORD FIESTA having problems on the transmission doesn't have all the parts required to fix the transmission problems.

Fiesta

  • Automatic transmission
  • 45,000 miles

My 80 year old mother bought this car in 2016, it had low miles on it. About a month after buying it I was in the car with her and noticed the slipping. She, not knowing anything about cars just poo pooed it off as something else. Now it is 2018 and I have noticed it making a strange noise and it is slipping more than usual. She had received a card in the mail about a year ago about a lawsuit on a clutch problem in the engine, but has never heard anything else about it.

The seller, Spitzers in Cleveland Ohio did not give her any kind of warranty. I think they saw her coming if you know what I mean. An old lady who they knew did not know about cars. A belt on the car broke the first day she had it and the woman at Ford told her they were sending a tow truck and she sat alone in her car for 4 hours and then called them back and the woman said " oh it will be tomorrow, not today". She asked her why didn't you tell me that 4 hours ago! Piss poor service is what it was.

The car only has approx 45,000 miles on it and it had around 20,000 when she bought it so I think being she has only put 25,000 miles on it there should be some kind of warranty on it. I buy used Kia's here in Tennessee and both times I have bought one I got at least a years warranty on the engine.

We will be trading in her Ford, I stopped buying Fords back when they had the big recall on Bridgestone tires and the recall said to bring your tires in for a replacement tire luckily I only had 1 Bridgestone tire left on the car because they replaced that one with a used tire that was full of plugs. We had a flat and when they took the tire off it had plugs in it. We returned to Ford and they said they didn't have to replace it with a new tire. I think we would have been safer keeping the Bridgestone tire and took our chances.

Anyways, Fords are crappy cars and will never own another one.

Fiesta ES 4 cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 36,000 miles

When I purchased the car, I noticed that when I stopped at a stop sign or stop light and started to drive, the car would start shuddering and shaking. I contacted the local Ford company here Portageville Mo and told them. The reply I got was it was a smart transmission and it was trying to learn its driver. I called them again and tried to tell them about it and got the same response. So I just stopped trying to get them to fix the problem.

Now my car transmission is actually starting to slip, and grind I am going to bring this problem to the local Ford dealership again on Monday, 7/17/17 and see if they will fix the problem. I have been complaining about this for almost 2yrs with no one wanting to fix the problem.

If you could please help address this problem I would really appreciate it.

Transmission shutters, jerks when shifting. Had the car back at the dealers 4 different times. The problem was never fixed. I called Ford Motor Co. and got a case file opened. That did no good. I talked to a Ford rep. and still no help. The car still jerks and shutters when shifting. I also have all the documentation and receipts from the dealer who had the car 4 different times..The car was never properly fixed.

Fiesta S 1.6L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 6,950 miles

I put my car in the shop on 10/29/2015 and Ford had to replace the brain in my transmission. They gave it back to me stating that the problem was resolved. Then on 11/07/2015 barely a week later I'm driving down the road and the transmission malfunction light comes on again. I contacted for and had to put it in the shop again. So this makes twice in the shop for the same problem and I have only had the car for two months. I think Ford really needs to investigate this problem a little bit more and come up with a real solution. I want my car fixed properly.

Called service tech, we will see what happens. I am surprised that this occurred at 300 miles, I thought I was driving over a washboard road.
