Ford needs to re-think how it does business I and my family have bought from ford for the last 30 years and I am ready to go to GM after this one. this car has had the valve body replaced due to a none issue with the tranny and now the throttle body, which can in a situation cause bodily harm or get some on killed. just poor workman ship from a company that claims it is all about safety

2005 Ford 500 lurching without any warning. Continuously got worse and when on vacation in eastern U.S car quit and fail safe came on. Engine light stayed on. Took it to Yankee Ford in Portland Maine who confirmed that it was the throttle body. Did not have one in stock however part was located 2 hours away and they sent a person to pick up. Total cost was $925.00. Yankee Ford was great in getting me back on the road with only a slight delay on my trip. Called Ford Canada customer service who informed me that they had never heard of this problem even though this part is on continuous back order and the internet is full of similar stories. I believe this is a safety issue as the throttle surges especially at intersections could cause someone to get hurt. Ford then sent me a questionnaire as to my satisfaction with their customer service.
