Throwing code p0016. Arises when decelerating on a downward slope, especially after driving at speed for a lengthy period on interstate and exiting onto an off-ramp.
Mechanics stumped.
Could be a bad electrical connection in the phase solinoids one says.
Another says wrong oil viscosity (using the recommended 5w -30w) causing obstructions in oil passages. Another says, "major issue, probably timing belt stretched." $2k+ to repair
Another says "phasers" need to be replaced.
This is not a "new code" for the 3.5L Ecoboost. Ford needs to figure out. I'm bleeding money (it's out of warranty) and no one has an answer. Code comes and goes.
