This 2000 Focus Wagon is the most recalled car I have every owned. A front coil spring broke and drove an end into the tire. Ford fixed it under warranty only after it broke. Spark plugs quit at 10,000 miles. They were under warranty. I replaced them for a cost of $16.00 and it cured the problem. I called the dealer expecting to get paid or replacement spark plugs under warranty but I was told I should have come into the shop and paid $80.00 so they can figure out it was the spark plugs and then they would replace them.
The transmission went out at 30,000 miles, A constant rear end bump noise let to about 1,000 dollars worth of new rear suspension parts and labor. A rear window fell out of it's track, the rear wiper quit, and there is far too much rust under the body for its mileage.
I am now upset that the brake warning light comes on and off when the brakes work fine and the emergency brake handle is released.
