DEALER SERVICE WAS A JOKE. TOLD ME THE LINE ABOUT NON-ASBESTOS PADS. THEY FINALLY PROVIDED LABOR AT A DISCOUNTED RATE IF I WENT OUT AND BOUGHT NON-OEM PARTS.

Ok so let me just start off to say that Fords are the worst cars ever and I will never own another one. This is the first car I have had. I got it when I got my license at 16. Four years later I have had nothing but problems. Its one thing after another and I can not wait to get rid of this piece of sh*t. If you are reading this and looking to buy a ford focus. DON'T! You are just getting yourself into problems. First of all, there are many recalls that have to be done and when they do the recalls they find something else thats wrong with the car. I have had problems with the key to start the car, some sort of vacuum problem in the engine that caused my car to stall, power locks that no longer work, problems with heating and air conditioning, speakers, and most recently a leak in the brake line and bad brakes. If its not one thing its another. Worst car ever. Best advice when you get a new car, don't go with American made cars especially Fords.(Ford Focus in particular).

This is the 4th time in 5 years, similar to the other "beefer", that I have had to replace the entire braking system, but can't afford to right now. So, I'm stuck with getting new back brakes but not being able to afford the front brakes. How safe is that? Thanks a lot, Ford for royally screwing another customer.

In the five years that I have had the car; I've had to change the whole rotors and brakes for the entire care for approminately 4 times. These are expenditures of $650 to $750 each time. So, so, so terribly disappointed with this car.

I bought my 2000 Focus in Feburary of 2003. It was used but I was told a good car to have. Now my brakes and roters are bad to the point that I can't drive it. Also the brake cylinders are leaking. It seems that there are more than enough complaints and concerns that the company should do something about this problem.

This car had 22,007 miles @ time of purchase. I replaced brakes at 34,831 miles and again @ 62,757 miles. Not including having to machine the rotors and Deglaze the drums two times between having replaced the brake pads. They also adusted my back brakes and the parking brake.
NOW THEY DON'T WORK!! I HAVE TO TAKE IT BACK TO THEM SO, THE DEALERSHIP CAN TRY TO DO IT RIGHT THIS TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AS ALWAYS TAKE IT IN FOR ONE THING AND I GET IT BACK IN WORSE SHAPE THAN WHEN I DROPPED IT OFF FOR REPAIRS. THIS IS SMALL COMPARED SOME OF MY OTHER PROBLEMS!!

Ford dealership admitted they were having a problem with the brakes on the Focus but the company as of then would not do anything about it so the local dealership wouldn't pick up the costs

I had to replace my rotors at 36,000 miles and now at 61,000 miles they say I need to get it done again. Ford says it's a wear item and there's nothing they will do... even though they admit there's a problem and engineers are looking into it. How is this my problem!? And why should I have to pay for it!?

I bought this car in July 2000, I've taken it for all required mantenance for it. The first time I took it to get oil change, I explained to them that I hear squeaking noise coming from the tires. They checked & I was told it's normal, no problems. I took back it three more times & again I asked them to check the squeak noise and again I was told it was fine. A month later the noise is really bad & I take it back and I was told my rotors & brakes were gone at 15k!!! How can this be after so many times I complained about, I had no choice but to pay for the repairs $900.00. I was very upset called Ford & told them, they said brakes & rotors not covered by warranty. the vehicle is new!!! Now I've taken the vehicle back because the squeak is still there. And again I'm being told it's OK. Something is wrong with the vehicle's brakes, I feel it everytime i drive it. This vehicle has had lots of recalls, no one wants to listen, not FORD, they are waiting until someone gets hurt or dies to fix the problem. I want someone to help me resolve this problem before something happens. I'm a mother & I put my son in this vehicle every day, that is not safe!! Now my last I took the vehicle back again because the vehicle was shaking when I apply the brakes. I took it back & I was told I need new tires now at 20k miles. I've had not thing but problems with this car.

what can I say, the car was made intentionally with weak parts.... the reason it sold off the lot so cheap was because they knew they'd make up the loss in the maintenance and repair costs. Stupid, but they're getting money out of it. Although I hear that Ford's newer models are better built.
