The car overheats and shuts down, ignition with gauge normal...This sh*t happens anytime the temp goes over seventy degree's outside. But only at intermittent times. Done all the bullshit, changed oil, anitfreeze thermostat sensors, still keeps it up

Car overheated and quit working. I was towed to the nearest Ford Dealership and they estimated that is might be head gasket problems or the engine needed to be replaced. They were charging me 100 bucks an hour to just look and diagnose. But, the first hour they couldn't figure it out. So then they said that to fully diagnose the problem, it would be at least $600 to diagnose and if it's the engine, it would be $2000 dollars. I decided to get rid of the car and get a new one. This Ford has been giving me trouble for the past few years.

The engine is smoking, might be a bad gasket or a cracked head.... I've tried many things but without taking the engine apart and rebuilding it I am not sure what the problem is. It incessantly smokes, in the cold mornings, or hot afternoons. I am not loosing much oil so it is minor, but annoying when you're engine smoke is drifting in front of other cars at the stop lights. I heard this is a more common problem with the 2000 model.
