After $1200 in repairs including new plugs and wires to stop stalling, this little "gem" started a rhythmic surging at lower speeds. This surging was to the point that I had to put it in neutral at red lights to avoid lunging out into the intersection. I took it back to my local mechanic and he says his diagnosis device cannot interpret the code, only the dealer can tell me what is wrong. Thanks FORD...no wonder your stock is only worth 2 bucks a share!

The drivers door won't unlock from the outside, the rear passenger door won't open at all, the water pump has been replaced, thermostat housing, blower switch, window track, serpentine belt, tension pulley, all the wires and plugs, battery, tires, and a rim. Now not two days after being out of the shop the damn thing is surging. Pulsating while idling, feeling like it is going to stall, and it shakes whenever it is between 40 and 50 mph. Its misfiring and i can feel it not want to shift gears, its doesn't like moving faster then 35 mph up hills--or whenever it feels. If anyone has any idea what the hell is wrong with my POS now, or has similar problems, please let me know. Im running out of money and patience!
I am so sick of my stupid focus in general! I can't understand how they can justify selling such a sh*tty car to someone. I put my life savings into this car. Now I'm a college student, with barely any money, spending every last dime I have in order to keep it running. I have had this car for almost three years and it has just been one problem after another and has cost over $3000 in repairs at least. After this piece I am done with ford forever!!

My car was surging, and the check engine light was going on and off. We looked under the hood, and one of the distributor caps was fried. It had also fried the spark plug. We had to buy a whole new distributor and spark plugs and was a pain in the ass to replace!

Ok this is mainly only a "Pain In The ASS" in the summer, but it has snuck up on us rarely in the off season. It apparently has a bad MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR. Ok so I take it into the "Clint Newel Guys", warranty guys, & they charge me $100.00 to look at it because they COULD NOT DUP_DUP_DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM!! WHAT???? on earth is that? They are supposed to be my team, my saviors, my warranty freakin guys!!!!!!!
So here now I've paid their stupid deductible and of course, there is not a bit of justice for me. I am so pissed at them and their stupid NO GOOD WARRANTY, that I paid DEARLY for!
No help? I know what it is now, but they will neither, fix the problem that I had to have diagnosed outside of them, OR give me ANY PART OF MY $$$$$ BACK!! They are the one's that have my sole interest in their GREEDY, NO GOOD, Coniving, FAT FAT FAT HANDS . I can't even get a last place on the finish line here folks! They SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!
But I will say one GGGOOOODDD thing about the DISABILITY Ins. I also PAID DEARLY FOR, they [diff comp] paid for my car payments, and recomp'd me for the payments I had made! WOW, I mean WOW! They were so nice!
Thanks and OH HEY, Keep in there-- it only gets worse... OR BETTER!! LOLOL.
Angie Benedict Very Truly.
