This car is a lost cause. Do not buy a Focus. It will cause you nothing but stress and money trying to fix this piece of sh*t lemon car. Buy a better car. I am on my last leg. I am tempted to walk my ass to work than ever step foot in a Ford again.

My car began to make a really annoying thumping sound like a squirrel or something got into my car every time I drove more than a mile, so every time I drive anywhere. It began to progress to a banging sound like something was going to fall off. I knew I was not going crazy because no matter how loud I turned on my radio I could still hear it. I went to Big o Tires and they said it was the belt tensioner as well as a leak but that is another issue with my piece of shi# car. I had it also confirmed but someone I knew who was good with cars and they told me that was the problem. Cost me about $50 for the part around there and I had my boyfriends dad and his friend replace it for me. It was a pain to do it to the point of almost breaking another part of my car engine just to get to the tensioner. When they did take it out and replace it the part was so broken and so loose it felt like it was going to break off if I drove any longer.1 to 5 of being a pain it was a 4 and that is all of the physical labor and having to deal with hearing the car issues.
