2002 Ford Focus. Consumer writes in regards to denial of reimbursement the consumer stated in May 2011, the right front spring fractured. The vehicle was towed to a local repair shop where both the left and front spring/strut assemblies were replaced. The consumer learned Ford had issued a technical service bulletin advising dealers that certain Focus vehicles including his were susceptible to front spring fracture failures due to inadequate corrosion protection. The consumer was denied reimbursement, because he did not take his vehicle to a Ford dealer for repairs.
