The rear hatch is either out of adjustment, or the hinges are too wussy to keep it solid, or the rubber close-dampers are loosing resiliency, or some other thing is happening, but the rear hatch buzzes/rattles over rough road surfaces when the suspension brings vibration up in the rear of the car. Very annoying and makes me feel like I bought a cheap piece of after-thought that has been shaddily put together. Oh, and the gas struts that are supposed to hold the hatch up only work in hot weather. The colder it gets the less they work. You have to pull the hatch open against them and then they just barely hold it open. Those buggerz ain't cheap neither.

In my ZX3, the rear trunk cover that swings down when you close the hatch seems to like to buzzzzzzzzz when the engine hits that certain low-rpm zone. That, and it buzzzzzzes when I go over washboards on a road, over a rail crossing, or over a rough gravel road surface. A lot of road vibration will set it off. Annoying and noisy. Sounds like a cheap manufactured piece o' after-thought.

REAR HATCH NEVER LOCKS DOWN SOLID. THE NOISE OF THE BACK HATCH IS UNBEARABLE SOME TIMES. HOW RIDICULOUS THAT FORD CANT EVEN GET THE HATCH LOCK RIGHT. IT DOES CLOSE, BUT NOT SEALED TIGHT SO CONSTANT RATTLE, ALSO THE TRUNK/HATCH COVER RATTLES BECAUSE THAT JUST SITS UTOP BUT DOESN'T ACTUALLY HAVE A LOCK DOWN POSITION. STUPID. TOP NOTCH ENGINEERS GETTING PAID MILLIONS OF DOLLARS CANT FIGURE OUT HOW TO LOCK DOWN A HATCH. HOW PATHETIC IS THAT. IT'S ABOUT TIME FORD STARTS ADMITTING TO THEIR PROBLEMS AND FIXING THEM INSTEAD OF PUSHING THEM UNDER THE RUG AND ACTING LIKE THEIR THE BEST OF THE 3. GM MIGHT BE IN TROUBLE WITH ECONOMIC TIMES BUT THEIR VEHICLES ARE TOP QUALITY COMPARED TO FORDS CRAP ANY DAY.
