i was driving in my car one day not too long ago when all of a sudden it felt like my car was out of gas. My fuel light was NOT on and I still had a quarter tank of gas in it. I went and stopped at a gas station and put more gas in. It happened everytime my tank got to a quarter tank, it would feel like it was out of gas. Finally my boyfriend had someone put it on a machine and he was told I had very low fuel pressure. he told him that most likely it was the fuel pump. YOU GUESSED IT,.... ANOTHER RECALL ISSUE I FOUND OUT ABOUT THROUGH ANOTHER FORD OWNER> SHE HAD A 2002..... Had to replace the fuel pump... We were told that it would be 600 to replace it at a dealer. My boyfriend was able to do it for the price of the fuel pump which was 70.00 and a lot of time. HE HATES MY CAR... we are just waiting for it to get reposessed. CANT WAIT
