My daughter just bought a used 2004 ford focus; 1st day she had it , the key stuck in the ignition. this occurs intermittently, and is an extreme pita; she's resorted to just leaving it in and locking doors- an invitation to theft, to be sure! Did a web search and I'm incredulous at the number of sites and complaints relating to ignition problems with the Ford Focus; at this point it still starts, but when she leaves for college(6 hrs away), I'm concerned that the situation will exacerbate and she'll be stranded somewhere; guess I'll replace cylinder, what amazes me that Ford apparently refuses to acknowledge this problem.
I have 2 other daughters in the market for vehicles- it certainly won't be a Ford Focus!!
