Not only ,does Ford recognize, the inevitable failure of the lock cylinder of the ignition, they had the balls to do nothing about it. I had to drill out the lock cylinder and
remove the POS,and have been using a screwdriver to start my car ,for the past 3 years,
since I don't have the few hundred extra dollars,to fix it properly. Second,Ford knew they
installed a bad clutch assembly on the 04' Focus,so instead of going all out,for the customer, what do they do,they introduce a TSB,which will only replace the clutch ass,,
if your car has 12k miles or less. It's Ford's way of acknowledging their mistake, but a
half ass solution,of course. Now I know,why people don't buy American,anymore,but I'm
a diehard American car buff,so I must be nut's,or stupid, right? It's a great feeling, knowing your a proud American car enthusiast, when you have to look around, before you attempt to start your car with a screwdriver. It really feels great,to drive a car you own,but look to others,as if your driving a "stolen" car, everyday.Way to go,Ford.
