The dummy light keeps coming on. The dealership said it was because the gas cap wasn't on tight. But after the dealership reset the dummy light, on the drive home it came on again. After three times of being told it was my fault for not tightening the gas cap enough, I just gave up and swore never to buy Ford again.

The problem is that in the state of Connecticut, when the car is registered, we have to pass an emissions test. Last time I registered the car in 2014 I just bypassed the emissions test and they accepted my fee and registered me anyway. Probably the result of their long history of DMV computer problems or maybe I'm not really registered. I don't really know. However, they're fixing their computer problems and I'm sure that when I need to register the car again, I'm going to have to have a pass on my emissions or they wont register the car. Therefore, I'm bound to have to find someone who can find out why my service engine light is constantly lit and have it fixed at a cost to me.
