Focus ZX5 2.0L

  • Manual transmission
  • 40,000 miles

2 owner focus transmission was hard to shift into first gear. prev owner replaced it with a low mileage trans including master cylinder clutch and new fluid. now this one after 75k, it starts acting up. it wont shift into first especially in the cold. it had fluid changed, and no change. I really would like to know how to fix this without me having to purchase a new transmission.

Focus SX4

  • Manual transmission
  • 6,000 miles

at 6000 miles transmission practically fell out of the car. I'd had problems since it was purchased, problems were "pooh-poohed" by dealership. Car became undriveable on Christmas night. Due to the holiday and upcoming new year's holiday, dealership was unable to get new transmission until after Jan. 2. No car for over a week.
