This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Ford dealer.
Purchased as brand-new car, low mileage when compressor quit. I wasn't positive it was the compressor, but pretty sure. Took it to the Goodyear mechanic who said it was the compressor but its under factory warranty so long as it happens within 36,000 miles. But I have to take to the dealer to have it fixed. Now, I've been extra paying for new car insurance through Ford Credit which guarantees rental car, loaner or other transport so I don't have to get mangled by not making it to work while car is in the shop. But now the dealer service center says they don't do rental/loaners on factory warranty repairs.
It's a Ford product malfunction. It's a Ford consumer insurance coverage. It's a Ford dealership.
On Sunday, I think I'm taking my dealership-repaired Ford down to the Toyota guys and trading my Ford in. It'll be the last time I buy American if this is how Ford treats its American consumers.

This is a new vehicle, and I've only had it for just over 2 years, no real wear on the car and I can't believe that the compressor died in such a short time. I had a 1992 Toyota Celica and it took it 10 years to have the compressor damaged.
The warranty is void now that it has over 2 years and Ford of Venezuela doesn't accept any responsibility.
The worst customer service ever!!!!
