check engine light was on and code tells its egr valve.. replaced egr valve with sensor and solenoid.. but light came back in 50 miles. Code again for egr valve. took the car to local ford dealership.. they found the problem was throttle body and air intake. replace everything. problem resolved. This is my work car and I drive 200 miles highway driving everyday. costly repair like this draining lot of my hard earned income. but gas milage improved a lot after this with smoothness of motor. ford manufacture this focus and designed for last for 100k to 130k. then they want customers to buy another new car. a well maintained focus cant last more than 130k. we had a fleet of 30 focus (2002)..and our boss replaced with 2006 focuses.. none of the car ran more than 140k. its funny when the ford commercial guy compair a corolla or civic with focus.. thats a disgrace for japanese car manufacture. this car doesnt have long life. ford lineup is good for bigger engine.. but still they are far behind toyota and honda when it comes to small engines.
