This car has had a noisy enige since I bought it with 23 miles on it. I was told that the fix to the problem was a valve cover. That helped with the ticking sound, but it soon started making a very loud knocking sound from the bottom end. I have taken it to every Ford dealership in my area and have been told there is nothing wrong, that the knock is a "characteristic of the motor." Because Ford says this is something that is supposed to happen, they will not cover it under warranty.

Between the motor knock and numerous manual transmission problems we have quit making payments and are waiting for Ford to come repo their P.O.S. !!!!!!!!!!!

The car was making a bad ticking noise, so Ford in all their genius, decided to "fix" the problem by throwing a big fat adhesive band-aid over the valve cover. How lame.

A couple weeks ago I noticed some sounds coming from the front of my car when ever I took off or backed up. I at first thought that I had a bad CV Axle but when I looked under the car they looked fine.

Took the car to the dealer ship and they told me that 2 of the engine mounts where busted.

So they have ordered new engine mounts..
