Bought (2) 2008 Ford Focus vehicles in 2008 to save on fuel costs.
Both cars have Pirelli Tires which I thought were top shelf, I also from past experience thought Fords were top shelf.
Here is my experience: TIRE PROBLEMS = SAFETY PROBLEMS.
Both cars vibrated at about 55 mph, feels like a throb, replaced 4 tires on one , unemployed so my other one sits in the yard because I cant afford replacements.
I saw that the rear tires both shown cupping, good tire thread on the outer tire and balding on the inner tire. I also felt kinda bubbling or high low spots which are consistent to belt separation or deformation which would cause the wheel throbbing. Since both cars ended up with the same problems with the same brand vehicles and tires I figured where ther is smoke there is fire, so I made a complaint with the BBB after finding this website with other like complaints as well as other websites.
Both cars came with Pirelli p205/50r 16 87h m+s markings. I'm sure that once someone dies in an accident by tire failure Ford and Pirelli will come under fire, who will win the battle? They sure will point the finger at each other with neither taking the blame. Forensic science and advanced investigation will show the culprit. It is my belief that Ford who uses the tires and has the money to launch an investigation find out the problems with the tires and have consumers reimbursed for replaced tires and given a safe suitable tire if Pirelli is at fault. If ford is at fault they should pay for all the replacements and past replacements. IS ANYONE WANTING TO JOIN A CLASS ACTION SUIT? IS THERE AN ATTORNEY WANTING TO FOLLOW UP WITH US?
