I was told by Ford dealer mechanic I had bad lug nuts because they swelled and their wrenches could not fit them. He said I needed all of them replaced for safety sake. The dealer admitted this was a major problem and they have done other cars too. Dino della was the contact there. This was at park Ford, 276 route 6, in mahopac NY 10541

We were told wed that our pirelli tires, warranted @ 55K mi, and have only 18K, are down to 3/32nd tread and must be replaced. All this with in-town driving, regular rotation and inspection. Contacted pirelli and also discount tire to no avail. Tires are pirelli four seasons.

I purchased Goodyear assurance 215/45R17 tires 03/19/2013 dot M763 julr 3412 for my 2010 Ford Focus VIN# [xxx] at 32,436 miles on the vehicle. At 69,914 miles on 9/29/15, the left rear tire went flat. Inspection of the tire reveled side wall separation from the carcass which appears due to dry rot. Inspection of the other tires also had signs dry rot. I have retained 2 of the 4 tires for analysis and inspection should your engineering department want for further analysis. I will keep them on hand for 2 months from date of this letter. I filed this complaint due to safety concerns of the tire. Side wall separation should not occur with 37,478 miles or within 36 months of purchase. I have 2 of the 4 tires for analysis if required that I will keep on hand for analysis. I will dispose of them after 60 days. Information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

While driving down the street I was a slight curve turning to the right and the car drifts while turn. It feels like the car is losing control. I keep replacing the tires but every few months I have this issue.

Left front tires continue to wear excessively on the inside of the tread. I have had the alignment checked, and everything is within specifications. I rotated tires as shown in owner's manual. Tires rotated front to back, back to front. The left front wears the inside of the tread; the tire on the left rear stops wearing, once placed on the back. Also, upon movement, tire noise inside the vehicle is unacceptable, and this noise sounds loudest from the inside, front left of the vehicle (driver's side). At 25 mph, inside tire noise is 45 db. At 55 mph, inside tire noise is 85 db. Radio is off: Windows are closed. This is unacceptable. Dealer says that it is not a warranty issue, and that I should align the car with every oil change, at 3000 miles: This is not what the owner's manual recommends. Alignment shop says that alignment is within specifications, and provides a print-out showing the readings. Vehicle tracks straight and turns appropriately. I will wear out the two left tires before 30,000 miles, while the right side tires show little wear for the mileage.

The contact owns a 2010 Ford Focus. The contact stated that while driving 55 mph, he would hear a grinding noise near the front driver's side of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection where they stated that the wheel bearings needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure recurred three times. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 32,000.

Hankook premature tire wear. Tires only last 17K. Ford and hankook will not honor warranty. Vehicle makes loud noise driving down the road and vehicle is more susceptible to hydroplanning. Tires are worn on the inner side. Ford customer service refuse to acknowledge a problem buy has several tsb covering the premature tire failure/wear.

The contact owns a 2010 Ford Focus. The contact stated they have had three set of tires on the vehicle in three years. Each set of tires have been different on the vehicle and all wore down around 33,000 miles. The contact stated that the front tires wore down faster then the rear. The dealer informed the contact that nothing was wrong with the vehicle that it must be the tires even though all three sets of tires were different. The failure mileage was 33,000 and the current mileage was 100,000.

The contact owns a 2010 Ford Focus. The contact stated that she had to change all four tires in under 20,000 miles. The manufacturer was notified but offered no assistance. The vehicle had not been repaired. The failure mileage was 16,811 and the current mileage 26,000.

Was told by dealer that the hankook optimo H725 brand tires on my car have failed. I was advised not to drive the car for long trips, and to replace the tires asap. I have 24,000 miles on 3 of the tires and 16000 on another. I already had to replace one tire because of a sidewall bubble.

Both tires on back cupped and I was told by dealer that it was because I did not rotate them. I had to buy tires and also pay for alignment. Now at 56251 miles it did it again. Took it to dealer again and now they day it needs a rear adjustment kit that cost $240 dollars and I have to pay for it. The service consultant said it was a factory defect but Ford says it isn't and they will not pay for it. Also I took it in because it makes a loud thump when I hit a bump. I told them it sounds like shocks are bad but they said nothing is wrong with car.

Mom and I was driving a rental. 2010 Ford Focus. Earlier that day she was driving the car an complained it was wobbling when the steering wheel still. For me, at first when I was driving I thought it was the wind making the car wobble, but as I was driving down the highway and notice my back right tire rotation was very unusual (it just didn't feel right) so I slow down to feel the same reaction. When I did my car fishtailed into the median wall of the highway (smashing in the right side or driver side of the car) (when hitting the wall, the breaks and steering wheel locked up) and bounced me across to the left side of the highway hitting the metal rail that help me stop rolling, ended up with minor injuries, serious headaches, and a so called ticket of $130 failure to control my vehicle I don't know if Ford Focus function that way, but I will never advise anyone to ever get a Ford!
