I went to the store and locked my car. Came out and the passenger side rear door would not open. 2 days later both the passenger side and driver side rear doors would not open.
I went through the trunk to try and open them from the inside....no luck.
Now I have a four door focus that can only haul 2 people. It is too dangerous to allow people in the back seat. If there was a wreck there is no way out. I now leave the rear seat down because I will not lock my car. I'm scared to death that the front doors will do the same.
Ford......please fix our problems. I do not have $2000 dollars to open my doors!!!!!

Around Nov 4th 2019, the interior door latch on my 2011 Ford Fusion linkage must have broken...soon followed by the driver's door lock (small lever above the door handle). Approx 68,000 miles on the car.
Now I have to manually unlock the car using the door lock/unlock button, roll down the driver's window, open the door using the outside handle and then close the window before exiting the driver's seat. Sometimes the remote unlock fob doesn't unlock the driver's door, most often it will, but I've had to unlock it using the key at times.
I have an appointment to drop off the car at local Ford service department for the entire day.... We'll see how much they try to get from me to fix their poor design. And hopefully it doesn't happen again.
