Every single year as Winter Season finally hits below freezing temperatures, My Emergency hand brake freezes. There's absolutely nothing to do about it. I even had it replaced last year. And it still does it. Best is to never fkn use it! One time it froze and had me drifting all the way to home through the snow sliding from side to side on the highway uncontrollably. It's crazy. Today my rear drums smell like they are on the braking point of glowing red... Yes it's stinks like ass!

Focus 3.2L

  • Automatic transmission

After dealership had vehicle from June 13 to June 18, 2014, stated parking brake installed. I drove vehicle home 6-18-14, to work on 6-19-14 whereupon display stated parking brake engaged, car stopped 3 or 4 times. Took car back to dealership 6-19-14, picked it up on 6-21-14 no apology, for not checking workmanship, seems to be working now. I had to pay $100 deductible on extending warranty.
