Purchased the car used with 52,000 miles from a Dealership in Robinson PA. After the first week, I noticed a few small oil spots in my driveway. When I took the Focus to work, I wanted to see if leak was from the car or from my other vehicles. At the end of shift, I checked under the car, and found two oil puddles in the ground. I let dealer know about it and they offered to send it to their Ford shop for inspection. I was so upset that they sold the car with an oil leak, I decided to take it to a Washington Ford for inspection.
The Washington Ford service team was awesome, and let me know that the rear main seal needed to be repaired along with the clutch due to contamination. They also advised that previous owner had engine pulled around 20k for an unknown reason. The car is on the road and used on a daily basis, but I have lost confidence in the product due to such an issue with low mileage. Why is this happening to these Focuses? I love how the car looks and drives, but am concerned for its longevity! Should I go back to Toyota?
