Ford dealer in melbourne, Florida refuses to perform recall work. Took the car in--it failed inspection. The manager refused to order parts or work on the vehicle and told me the mechanic was on vacation. I went back again to have the other recall items worked on, the manager said it was still a "no go, " and I'd have to wait two months to get my unsafe car looked at...

I called Washington Ford in Washington, pa on 1/17/2019 regarding a check engine light due to Ford Focus recall (purge valve). They scheduled an appointment for 1/30/2019 to fix the recall. Took my car in on the eve of 1/29/2019 and dropped it off. They called me the following day to say they didnt have the part available. They instructed me to pick up my car and said they would call when part came in. I had an inspection scheduled for 2/7/2019 and they told me it would come in prior to my inspection. I never heard from them but called back a few times, telling them I had new codes coming up on my obd sensor (fixd) the car had been running rough, stalling out while idling/stopped.. they assured me it was safe to drive. They did not get part in by 2/7/2019 and I missed my inspection. Two new codes came up on my car and I called angrily on 2/14/2019 to ask if they need me to take car to a different location, and they told me they were just about to call me to tell me parts came in.. we scheduled for 2/22/2019 to have recall fixed. They told me rental cars aren't covered under this recall when I explained the problems with scheduling so many appointments and having difficulty finding other transportation. On 2/17/2019 my car shut off while driving, on a major road (route 40). I was able to coast down a side street and pull into driveway at the bottom of the hill. Had the dealership fixed the problem the day they originally scheduled me, I would have a working car. Now, I'm afraid more damage has been done, as there are 7 total codes on my obd sensor(there were 3 when I first called about recall). The dealership should have never scheduled me when they didn't have the right part in stock, or a rental car should have been provided until they corrected the problem. I'm very unsatisfied with the customer service level at this location!

Ford has issued a recall regarding the fuel tank deformation but they state that the car should not have any issue when it's above 1/2 of a tank. I have experiences the car stalling around 3/4 of a tank multiple times now. The car engine shuts off when I take my foot off the gas, the dashboard lights come on. I have to park the car and restart it. Ford has not been able to fix the issue due to lack of parts since I took my car in on Dec. 6th.

We received a recall notification for my vehicle in December 2018 from Ford. We were told that as long as the gas tank is filled at 1/2 a tank, the vehicle is safe to drive. Since we received the letter, my vehicle has stalled on the highway three separate times, each time resulting in the car having to be pushed to a safer location. It doesn't seem like anything is being done to fix the situation and it's becoming unsafe to drive. I wanted to file a complaint against Ford Motor Company for not fixing this issue in a timely manner before it becomes a more serious issue with my husband being hit by another vehicle at 70+ mph on the highway.

My Focus is under Ford recall...it is experiencing stalling and loss of power and difficulty starting. Ford says it will be fine if I keep a half tank of fuel in tank, but all the symptoms are happening with over half a tank of fuel. They will not provide a loaner/rental vehicle and the local dealer will not either. They both tell me the same thing about half a tank of fuel. But it is not safe to drive due to the stalling and loss of power. There is no parts available and they don't know when they will be available.

My vehicle has died on me while driving down the road and after getting gas it does not want to start and will sputter and act like it is going to die, or die or it will be very hard to start. The car will just die at stop signs and is very dangerous. You can not tell if there is gas or not because the gauge does not work and will go to full even if you only put one dollar in and then at half a tank it will go back to showing full. I know it is low of gas and it will only hold five or ten dollars at a time no matter what I can not tell what amount is in the car and the solution I received from Ford while waiting on parts is to keep it half a tank or more but that is impossible because I do not know how much gas is there. They have also told me they are busy and maybe awhile anyway and they cant give me a rental car. I have almost been ran over, been stranded and missed work because of this and now I have no way to go if they do get parts in to fix this. Prior to this my transmission was causing my car to die and the door hinge is under recall and they car should be recalled totally. I dont trust them to fix it and these are lemons and they knew this and people have crashed because of this!! they are lying and should have to replace these cars. This is unfair, unethical and dangerous. You cant do this and risk so many lives. Do something before people die please!!1 it has stopped on highway, parking lot and city road and rural road. It has happened many many times.

I received a recall notice in the mail due to the deformed fuel tank. The dealership and the recall notice I received in the mail confirmed that my fuel tank readings will be inaccurate due to this issue with the deformation. I brought my vehicle into the dealership to have this issue fixed and the dealership claimed to fix it according to Ford's recall. They also said that I should not longer have inaccurate readings. Today, the fuel reading are still inaccurate and I am concerned that my car may stall and issue is not actually resolved. The reading are still over 100 miles off. The dealership and Ford refuse to evaluate the issue and/or fix the issue under the recall. The photo I provided below demonstrates how off the fuel is. Prior to this photo, my tank was on empty. I added 5 gallons of gas or about 150 miles. A full tank is around 345 miles typically for my car base upon historical readings. In the photo, the electronic gauge says 215 miles left which is wrong and the other gauge reads that its almost full (~315miles) also wrong. The readings should say around 150 miles. Both gauges are off and they also do not coincide.

2013 Ford Focus, was bought new from dealership and has had clutch issues from beginning. The car stutters on acceleration, shifts hard, and occasionally there is a delay when the gas pedal is pressed. A recall was performed on this car and the clutch was replaced, but still had same issue. This car has been seen 8 times for this issue, and has never been resolved. The clutch that was replaced during the recall has failed the performance test, but the dealership will not replace due to expired warranty. Recently another recall was issued on this vehicle due to a stuck cannister purge valve. This causes the engine to stall and the fuel meter to read incorrectly. This caused me to run out of gas on the highway when my gas meter reported I still had half a tank of fuel. On 11/29/18, the dealership performed the recall and believing my fuel meter to now be accurate, I ran out of gas again at a quarter tank full. My check engine light is back on and it is again throwing a code for the purge valve. This car has several safety issues which Ford dealer has been unable and unwilling to remedy.
