I leased this car new in September, 2014. I have an extended warranty on the car, and have to pay $100.00 deductible each time I take it to the dealer. At the end of February, 2016, the check engine light began flashing on my 2014 Ford Focus. I took it into a Ford dealership, and was told that I needed to replace coil #1.

Last night, about 5 months later, the check engine light began flashing. Both times, the car began shaking and seemed reluctant to move at all, almost like the engine was seizing up. The same Ford dealership is now telling me that it needs coil #8 replaced. Does this even make sense that a car that is under 2 years old would need a single coil, much less need TWO coils, less than 6 months apart?

Every time I turn around with this car, it's another $100.00 deductible to the dealer. First there was the clutch issue, which took A FULL YEAR for them to get the part in and fix my car.

Then I had issues with the USB, and had my battery die. Get this: If I go and buy a Ford battery (the same type that was installed in my car at purchase), it would be warrantied for 3 years. However, if the battery dies (at about the 1.5 year mark after buying the vehicle), Ford expects the owner to pay for it!!!! So basically, buy a replacement battery from Ford, and it's covered. Buy an ENTIRE VEHICLE ATTACHED TO THE SAME BATTERY........and if the battery goes, you're screwed.

I hate this car! I can't believe that I"m paying this much for a car that isn't even going to last throughout the term of the lease!!! I want out! $320.00 a month payment on a LEASE, and at least another $100.00 a month on the extended service plan deductible, and the warranty is about to expire, and I know that I have nothing about another year and a half of repair bills until the lease is up.
