When I purchased the vehicle on 8/24/15 I noticed Transmission shuddered at takeoff and when engaging into 1-2 gears. . It progressively got worse and everyone seemed to notice it when they road in the car. It was embarrassing because it was a new car. I took it in the first time and the technician said it was normal because the car has an internal clutch. I left and the problem got worse where the car would jerk and caused me to bump into the parking blocks. I would get upset because I drove the car gingerly and this action of jerking was noticeable and aggressive.
I took the car in again on 2/24/17 and they preformed clutch slippage diagnosis as per TSB 16-0109. Ford deemed the cause was slippage. Clutch slippage was covered under warranty. The car drove smooth after that, like it should have when you get a new car. This week I notice it doing it again and taking the car in once again for this and the persistent knocking sound. I seriously think this car is a lemon!!

We purchased our new (the only one left) 2015 Ford Focus Sedan SE 1.0L Ecoboost with a Manual Transmission on October 15, 2016. My husband has a CDL License and has no problems driving anything until now. He noticed after he was parking the car to transfer our items from the old car to the new that the clutch was sticking. So we figured it must be because it sat for a long time before anybody purchased it. Even one of the salesman took it for a test drive and said everything was fine. The clutch got sticky again on Sunday almost to the point where you are trying to cross an intersection and car starts to stall so you have to help the clutch a little to get it out of the stuck position. After work on Monday (Oct. 17) my husband took it in. We complained enough to get a new loaner. We got a call last week (Oct. 26) letting us know that they had to replace the entire clutch system. It has now been two weeks and still in the loaner. We are having buyers remorse and want to see if we can get out of that car. Oh man do we miss our Fusion Titanium. I guess this is what happens when you go down to a base model.

It is unsafe to drive, most especially in traffic, because of clutch and annoying every time you stop and start rolling.
