My trip info would not come up or the MPG info on the screen by the speedometer. You need a deep dish socket to unscrew the bolt that is holding the NEGATIVE battery cable to the frame of the car. It is located on the upper right side of the frame on most Focus and Fiesta cars. Unscrew the bolt place it in a thick glove so the end will not touch any metal and place it to the left side. Get a piece of 120-grit sandpaper. Sand the PAINT off the area where the negative bolt touches the frame of the car. Get a small wire brush and go around the threads of the permanent nut to remove paint on those threads. Wipe paint dust off with clean rag. Check back of bolt for any paint and sand it. Screw the bolt back in. You will need to reset the time and date. Trip info will be zero and mpg will start from zero. This is going to help all the electronic stuff going on. Nothing works right if it is not grounded. Hope this helps someone. It sure helped me.
