Recall #19N08. The car has what recall letter says is "a judder or shudder on light acceleration from a stop or during shift events"; although mine is not 'light'. several times upon entering a main street from a side street the car shudder's so badly I almost get hit. When driving on a turnpike, I accelerate, and it shudders. At a stop, it shakes & shudders for 3 or 4 car lengths. It's not safe & it's gotten worse since I got the car. Matthew's Ford in broken arrow, ok says I do not have a clean title and when I called the Oklahoma commission dmv office, they say the title is 'branded'. what does that mean? and, one of them said that the warranty had been cancelled, therefore there can be no recall work done on the vehicle. There are some extenuating circumstances surrounding this car. The dealership lied to me about the financing (hurting my credit and finances) and we ended up in a lawsuit, which was settled. I would hope that the dealership would not do anything mean to hurt me further. During the lawsuit they had provided me with a title, but it was not notarized properly, and I couldn't get a tag for almost 9 months. When we settled, I received a green title exactly like I had on other cars...so I don't know what is wrong with it that hinders me from a recall repair. I'm 74 and have bought a lot of cars and the title looks exactly the same as the others, no notations or stamps on it or anything. I even looked on car-fax and talked to the previous owner (a female college student) before agreeing to purchase the car. There was only 32,000 miles on it when I first looked at it December 17, 2018. Just remembered...the salesman sneaked in a "tire & wheel warranty" for $1,600. I cancelled it, but had nothing to do with mechanical part of car and warranty place sent money back to the dealership, which they kept.

I have gotten my car to the dealer for the various recalls and my car still is unsafe five separate instances my car has slowed to near stopping and three of those instances where on a major highway with children in the car of those three times I've been lucky that I have stayed and continued to drive on the right near the emergency lane. This car is unsafe to drive I have the same instance and every recall is supposed to be a solution to the problem. I've taken it to the dealer to check on it and everything appears to be working properly until it's time to drive and it continues to stall and stop. I've made a complaint before regarding this vehicle. This vehicle is unsafe to drive and there is still no solution to the issue that can end up costing lives. This car needs to be recalled due to its unsafe condition yet the company refuses to take accountability for this serious safety issue.

Ford issued a recall for my Ford Focus because there's an issue with the vehicle's clutch. Everything was supposed to be covered with no expense to me. Upon delivering the car to a Ford dealership I was told that I would be charged $145 for them to run a diagnostic check to locate the severity of the issue to my clutch. If the results come back showing the clutch to be the issue then the fee would be waived, but if it turns out to be another issue then I'd be found liable for the charge. In this instance because there's a recall that has been issued by Ford, I do not feel that I should be getting charged just to have them look over the vehicle.

Purchased used from a Ford dealer used 2015 Ford Focus. Was told that vehicle had to lern my style of driving. Car shutters when going accelerating, take time to shift between 1,2,3, gears. Also shutters at other speeds in the middle of shifting. Cannot shift quickly from parked or in stopped position like at a stop light or when merging into traffic. Car also now revs high and has to be cooled down after driving. I cannot trust vehicle to be driven by other family members due to transmission and engine acceleration problems. Has been an ongoing problem but dealership charges for diagnostics and states that it is the way I drive.

This complaint is in regards to the Ford Focus/fiesta dps6 transmission issue. Due to the dry dual clutch system issue, the vehicle engine would shake and rumble violently while moving. This mostly occurs when the supposedly automatic transmission shifting from the first and second gear. The first time I reported this to the dealer, they replaced the clutch which stopped the rumble issue until few months later, the rumble returned. Again I reported this to the dealership however this time they blamed it on the purge valve in the gas tank which they replaced. This did not fix the rumble issue and the dealership did not try to verify the rumble. They simply did not acknowledge it by stating they could not replicate the problem. Few months later while I was on the freeway, the rumble occurred again but worse than before. Immediately my vehicle lost power as if it's stuck at first gear. The vehicle's speed dropped tremendously which is extremely dangerous since I was on the freeway and everyone was going 60+ mph. Luckily I was able to pull over safely without getting hit. I restarted the vehicle and it ran continue to rumble but not as violently, the check engine light was on. I quickly brought the vehicle to the dealership for repair. Even though I have a bumper to bumper warranty, the warranty company refuse to cover the transmission repair because the dual clutch system is technically a manual clutch. For that reason they do not cover it. As a consumer, we have no idea exactly what type of parts the vehicle contains. The vehicle was advertised as automatic transmission which in common sense, it does not contain a manual clutch. The dealership was requesting $2000+ fee to replace this clutch. At the same time of this inspection, the purge valve in the gas tank was also defected and needs to be replaced.

My husband was driving the car in rush hour traffic, on the highway, and the car suddenly made 3 clunks and then the car suddenly started losing power, almost died out.he could not get the car to accelerate, even though he was stepping on the gas pedal. He almost got hit. This is not the first time that the car has done this. The first time, it stalled out completely and left him stranded on the highway. Ford is aware that there is a stall risk, but they can not repair the car. I have contacted Ford headquarters regarding this safety issue. I have not heard back from them. The 2015 Ford Focus has a bad transmission and the vehicle is not safe to drive because of the stall risk. The dealership that has had my 2015 Ford Focus will not try to repeat the behavior that caused the car to completely lose acceleration. They keep trying to give the vehicle back to me and it is not fixed!! Ford motors needs to be held accountable for knowingly selling the 2012-2016 Ford Focus when they knew that all of these cars had bad transmissions. We do not want the car back. These vehicles should not be allowed to be driven because of the stall risk.

The car shuddered and jerked when stopped and on acceleration from a stop. A metal grinding can be heard from the engine while driving during this jerking from acceleration. The car would lose power while driving. One time, the car stalled, resulting in lose of power, while I was turning left through an intersection. I have brought the car into the dealership for repair many times with no resolution of these symptoms.
