Focus Titanium 2.0L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 146,000 miles

So as I am driving home up a winding canyon road, I have to grab the wheel hard to keep the car on the road. Then it went back to normal. A few miles later I make a left turn and BAM - it happens again, this time for much longer and a dash light comes on "STEER ASSIST FAILURE". What the hell.

Okay, I do my research and see that I am not the only one having this issue. I do a "Mr Toads Wild Ride" to the dealer the next day to find out this happens and that it will cost me $2700. WTF this should not have happened at all. Come on Ford - get it together or lose a loyal customer.

Focus SE 2.0L

  • CVT transmission

The power steering went out like a light bulb... no issues beforehand. This could have very easily caused an accident! From what I've read and heard from other folks, this is a known issue. I pray nobody gets hurt from this power steering issue! We almost did...
