rear window shattered

I had a 55min drive home from my friend's place late in the evening of January 4, 2020. I had popped the hatch before I left to get out the ice scraper to scrape off the back/front windows, it was about 0 or -1 degrees C outside, when I was done I threw the scraper in the back seat. I was running the rear defrost most of the way home and multiple times used to rear wiper to clear my view behind me.

At this point, no problems with the rear window so far. I got home, parked in the garage, took my stuff out of the car, put the garage door down and went inside, again noticing no problems with the rear window. Maybe 15 min later I went outside to garage again and could hear something falling on the cement floor. I went to the back of the car and found the entire rear window completely cracked/fragmented all over. It was literally disintegrating around the edges falling apart onto the ground, eventually it just started falling into itself in the middle. There is not one thing that could have hit the window to make it break like that in the garage, it just popped on its own.

I've read numerous complaints about this type of issue with Ford vehicles, especially the Focus so I just wanted to add my voice here. The pictures online of this issue look just like what I saw and I've included a pic of my own. Thanks
