Cruise control fails constantly, has trouble picking up speed going up hills. Can't maintain speed on hills and sloaps. Gave to dealership for two months said it was fine only for them to tell me they had no mechanic. Engine continues to fail and they won't check for new recall for free on my car. My check ending light is currently on, I believe it is the same issue with the other Ford Focus recall.

My check engine light came on. I stopped at Auto Zone and had the check engine light read. The code came back as P1450 (Canister Purge Valve). Upon checking the Ford Website to run my VIN for recalls, nothing came back for my vehicle. I checked NHTSA and learned there have been 6 recalls, and 2 of those 6 seem to fit the issue I am having. However, since my VIN was not identified as one of the affect VINs, I am not able to take advantage of either recall, Ford's number for this recall is 18S32 and 19S22.

I am the owner of a 2017 Ford Focus vehicle. Recently, I have encountered multiple occurrences of stalling while driving on the highway. In two of these instances, I was in the process of passing a semi-truck and fortunately had no other vehicle behind me, or my safety and that of others may have been put at great risk. After the first incident, the check engine light appeared and was addressed by a mechanic who believed it was likely the result of a vapor lock. The issue later reoccurred and left me stranded on the interstate in a rural location where I had to wait for several hours before being transported to a nearby hotel. The vehicle started again the following morning, and I was able to finish the trip. After conducting some research, I discovered two separate recalls (identified by the NHTSA Campaign IDs 18V735000 and 19V515000) that had been issued for cars of this model and encompassing the year of my vehicle-??s construction. The malfunction, as issued by a mechanic, fit the exact specifications of the recall; that is, malfunction of the canister purge valve, causing excessive vacuum in fuel vapor management systems, that can result in an engine stall while driving and without warning. I was surprised to learn that my vehicle-??s VIN was not associated with any such recall; however, I was informed by my mechanic that a software update (18s32) had occurred on June 6, 2019, possibly removing association of the recall statement with my vehicle-??s VIN. I am unsure at this time of the extent of damage to the carbon canister, fuel tank, and fuel delivery module. The only issue visible from the exterior is a slight depression of the fuel tank caused by excessive vacuum. The canister purge valve was replaced on September 10, at a cost of $270.03. Due to the nature of the incident and its exact resemblance of the recall issued, I would like to seek compensation for the replacement of the defective purge valve and further inspection of the carbon canister, fuel tank, a

I was on my way home from work when my oil light came on and I began losing acceleration on a busy highway. It wouldn't let me go above 20 mph which was definitely unsafe due to the nature of traffic on the highway. I managed to pull over and get my car towed to the most recent place I had an oil change. After a few days, they stated that the vehicle had sustained a loss of engine oil pressure and that there was a recall for this issue. They also stated to contact Ford and that the vehicle was undriveable. When I checked the open recalls, I confirmed that there was indeed a recall open for this issue concerning the oil pump, however, Ford Motors state that they will not have the parts available until 1st Quarter 2025. This is puts the timeframe on a remedy at roughly 3-7 months, which is unacceptable as this is my only vehicle and the only way I am able to get to work.

After filling up the car with gasoline, the car would not start. Once the car started, after several tries, it was shifted into drive. The car would not move, the pedals were all locked up. You could not push on the brake, gas, none of the pedals would work. The car is available to be looked at. It has been looked at by an independent mechanic who determined there was excessive vacuum in the fuel vapor management system. The check engine light is on, returning the EVAP code. My [XXX] daughter was stranded at night alone with a car that wouldn't start. This issue has happened multiple times. There is a recall in place for the 2017 ford focus that covers this exact issue, but excludes my car. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

My 2017 ford focus engine has failed because of the oil system parts in the safety recall 23S64. While I was driving I got the hazard notification and a red oil notification shortly before the engine failed. No accident was caused but the car no longer runs. This happened back in February of this year and it has been 4 months since then. I have lost my job because of no longer being able to drive. I-??m living below my means due to having no vehicle. When I have called them they refuse to give me a rental and only tell me that I need to wait. I need a car for work and they have offered no assistance.

While driving around [XXX] PM on Thursday, [XXX], the Focus Electric displayed a "Stop Safely Now" message and proceeded to cut power going to the electric motor, allowing the car only to coast as if it was in neutral. Luckily no vehicles were around in my lanes, as that easily could've caused an accident. Electric steering, regen braking, and air conditioning were all disabled. I was able to coast it into a nearby FireHouse Subs parking lot, and directly into a parking spot. Had to disconnect the 12 Volt battery for 5 minutes and reconnect to hopefully reset the computers in the car. Still displayed SSN message after reconnection. I let the car sit for another 30 minutes and was able to start it up like nothing happened. Drove it home and read the stored DTCs, which were the following: ===BECM DTC P0AA2:00-08=== Code: P0AA2 - Hybrid/EV Battery Positive Contactor 'A' Stuck Open ===TCM DTC P0AF8:16-08=== Code: P0AF8 - Hybrid/EV Battery System Voltage ===GFM DTC U0111:00-08=== Code: U0111 - Lost Communication With Battery Energy Control Module A It will be going to Thomasville Ford on Wednesday [XXX]. That is the earliest they can accept it. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

I have a recall on my 2017 ford focus that is for the gas tank deformation, this happens because the Canister Purge Valve (CPV) may malfunction, possibly causing excessive vacuum in fuel vapor management system. It jerks, excels and dies when low on or getting gas mostly. Recently it wouldn-??t reverse or go over 15 miles and would limp only, not drivable. Codes say it-??s clutch b stuck engaged. I took it to the ford dealership and they gave me a 8000 repair bill when I told them I mainly wanted the recall fixed on it and I-??d figure out the rest later. They said the recall is not a safety issue and doesn-??t have anything to do with the car having issues or driving at all and they are charging me half of the bill for things related to the recall, claiming it isn-??t part of the recall (canister purge valve, canister vent, fuel injection cleaning, check engine light being on). They said they had to redo my appointment for me over the phone because I didn-??t put it under the recall appointments and they didn-??t include anything about the recall in it. The other half of the bill is them claiming they need to replace the entire clutch.

I was headed back home for thanksgiving, traveling down I20 from Birmingham to Anniston AL, when the oil light suddenly came on, then 2 minutes later a "default Engine-service now" warning appeared. The car immediately started making a loud rattling noise, sputtered and stopped accelerating. I almost got rear-ended and was terrified! I managed to exit the interstate and pulled into a gas station. Checked oil levels, which were fine. Got back on I20 and drove slowly (with hazard lights flashing) back to previous exit, where there was an express oil change. They could not identify the exact problem, but mechanic speculated it was the oil pump since he just fixed another ford vehicle with the same issue. I had my car towed back to Pep Boys in [XXX] (where I live). After inspecting my vehicle, I was informed that the oil pump had completely malfunctioned. The whole thing, including belts and tensioner had to be replaced. I'm still waiting to find out if any further damage was caused to the engine. So far, the bill is up to $4000 and I have been without a vehicle for 6 days. I would like to note that I completed regular oil changes and maintenance on this vehicle. Upon searching online, I have seen many other reports of this same issue on Ford Focus models, yet there has been no recall or action taken by ford and no action taken by the NHTSA. On three occasions the engine, on my 2017 Ford Focus, has stalled while driving, without warning and without the ability to restart the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash. The 1st two times (Sept 5th and 29th) it stalled the check engine and battery light came on. When it stalled the 3rd time (Oct 28th) only the check engine light came on. I had repairs done to the car when it stalled the 2nd time but after the repair work was complete the car still stalled. I researched online and Ford had recalled the Ford Focus for intermittent stalling but when I called them and gave them my VIN # they said my car was not on the list, but they suggested I contact you to report the safety issue I am having with my car. I am very, very afraid to drive it, since it puts my safety at risk and my husband and children. My car is our main driving source.

My vehicle has had some trouble turning over recently and my check engine light came on shortly after. I ran a diagnostic and was given the code P1450 and who's symptoms were in line with what my car has experienced. I see that there was a recall for other 2012-2018 Ford Focuses with identical problems with my car also having a 2.0 liter GDI engine and was manufactured in the Michigan Ford plant prior to February 2 2018 (the Ford employee I spoke to confirmed that my Focus was built in January of 2017). My car has yet to stall or fail to turn over completely but the problem is becoming more frequent and I believe that my vehicle is one that should have been part of the recall as I'm experiencing identical problems and my vehicle meets the criteria for other vehicles that were part of the recall.

The recall that Ford has out on Focus-??s between 2012-2018 is exactly the problems my 2017 ford focus is having, where it stalls constantly and won-??t turn on after. I-??ve tried filing with only premium gas, keeping my tank full and it is still happening. I-??ve had my vehicle towed multiple times. I-??ve had the canister purge valve replaced and am still having issues.

I took my vehicle to have the recall repaired they did not fix all the issues with the recall as soon as I picked it up it broke down again. They are now charging me for a diagnostic test that I did not ask for they told me the problem they think it is which is covered by the recall but now they refuse to work on my car. The service manager is rude and unprofessional cussing at me and my husband on the phone. Now I'm stuck with a car that doesn't work and they are refusing to replace parts that are covered under the recall.
