When you step on the clutch to change gears or are stopped at a stop light the RPM surges rapidly through 4000 RPM and sometimes all the way to 6000 RPM. The problem gets progressively worse as the engine warms up and on warm days. This is a difficult pain in the ass when stuck in traffic.
I have taken this vehicle to two different Ford dealerships, One said that the car is fine and the other admitted that there is a problem but Ford doesn't know how to fix it. I have created a claim with Ford Motor Company but was told that they probably wont have a fix for 3 months by the dealer. I was also told that this wasn't a safety issue and to keep driving the car and checking back with the dealer. Ford Motor Company said that there was no problem with the car.
