Took car in for recall of torque convertor. Note: never had any tranny problems before .
Have had all services done at dealer; the transmission fluid change, fuel filters, tune ups, antifreeze changed, etc.
About a month later after recall done of torque convertor for water in transmission fluid, dealer tried to tell me I needed new tranny at $2,800 dollars. WHAT?? No way. They found a bulletin supposedly from Ford for repair of problem that COULD be causing water in fluid. Seal cowl around windshield and replace trans. vent with updated vent.. OK. A month and 1/2 later, water in transmission fluid again. Will take back to dealer AGAIN for same problem.

We had our transmission replaced in march and in august we find water in the transmission fluid... What the hell?

Had the torque converter fixed from recall. Then started having transmission problems. The vehicle has only 70,000 miles on it now. The dealer says I have water in the transmission and the repair will be $4200!
Am I right in thinking that either the vehicle had a transmission problem that the recall did not fully fix, or that the repair might be the source of the problem. The miles are just too low for this kind of issue normally. Will Ford take care of this?
