2005 Ford Freestyle, 2nd row seat pivot hinge failure to allow seat to fold forward. Constitutes compromised safety of third row passengers to exit safely, quickly or at all. There is no way to open tailgate from inside of the vehicle. Ford contends that the pivot hinge is a "wear out item". item should never fail.
