Freestyle Limited 3.0 V6

The 6 CD Stereo unit in the Freestyle and 500s starts to skip and have all sorts of electrical errors -- like it won't turn off, or won't turn on, and just acts all goofy. The dealer replaced it under warranty with no resistance BUT the until they replaced it with was not as good as the original! They did this with both mine and my mother's 500. The replacement unit deceptively looks the same, until nighttime comes. The new unit did not have illuminated dials and was impossible to see and use at night. I complained immediately while I was still in the dealership shop. They feigned not knowing any better and months later after I followed up, I got them to replace the replacement with the better model. Of course, it is starting to act up now too. There is some sort of electrical incompatibility or something with the Freestyle and 500 and the standard Ford 6 CD stereo. I had the exact same unit in my Ford vans and never had an issue. By the way, my mom lived in a tiny town in Texas with 3 Ford 500s in it. Two of the three cars had the same problem.
