  • 22,000 miles
Started the 2006 Ford Freestyle and noticed starter continued to crank. Took key out of ignition and vehicle would not shut off. Thick smoke began pouring out from under the hood and continued until starter burned out. Vehicle was towed, and a new starter was installed.
