The throttle light started coming on when it was below freezing at fist start of car in morning. The engine light would also then come on once i put the car into gear. The car wouldn't move. I would restart the car several times and the car would go into gear. As the day warmed, the car would be fine and the throttle and engine lights would go away. Now that the weather stays below freezing, the car might go into gear after letting it run for 20 minutes, but the engine light stays on. The car will drive fine until coming to a stop; it then feels hard to brake (not quite surging, but strange) and loses power to go, revving very high but only getting to about 40mph with high rpms . I had the recall fix done; throttle cleaned and computer reset. I also had trans filter replaced. They (Ford) says new trans@ $5600. Car, despite being 5 years old and limited edition, is only worth $5000 trade in. New tbs was recommended, but at $700, not sure how much more i want to do before they say do trans again...haven't read that that is fixing problem. Super pissed, love the car.

When it was below freezing, there was no power, the car wouldn't want to go. Once you babied it and worked, it wouldn't go over 40 mph. The mechanic was able to coat the lines and that worked well for that winter. However, I still had to warm up it for a really long time each morning before leaving for work.
