My airbag light came on 2 days after driver side air bag was replaced. Dealer wanted $129.50 to tell me the reason. After checking I was told it is somewhere in the wiring in the passenger seat and it will cost me $500. To remove the seat and the seat covers and an estimated $500 to fix the wiring problem. I am [xxx] and that is a lot of money for me to pay. Why is a problem like that my problem and not Ford motor"?? I have been told by several people that Ford had a lot of problems with my model 2007 Ford Fusion. Again why is a safety problem mine and not Ford motor?".[xxx] information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Took my car on to check why seat belt light was on after bag replaced. Told there is a sensor under passenger seat that reflects weight in seat that is not working that is used in case accident airbag pressure would be deployed. Light will not turn off on dash and told me out of warranty is not on repair list-?? I have 2007 fusion that I can-??t sell because of safety light. Who is responsible for that. Service at dealer said sorry can-??t help me.. it would be 400.00"?" R u kidding.

The dashboard around airbag portion has come apart and is rising up all the way across the dashboard. Passengers' side the seat belt light and seat belt buzzer goes off. Have notified Ford. No compensation. Do not have pictures available, but if needed will email them asap. The consumer stated there were toxic gases leaking from the airbag compartment which tampered with the adhesive on the dashboard. The dashboard began to bubble up around the compartment. The seatbelts would not release. The consumer's grandchild had to wriggle out from under the seat belt. The seatbelt had to be unscrewed from the floor to release the pressure on it. The interior dashboard light, radio, clock, mileage, and cd player would not operate. The engine light illuminated, the driver's seat seams began separating, the brakes stick, the interior door handles broke off, the rearview fell off while driving, and the tires had a constant leak.

The seat does not support the back between the hips and the shoulder blades unless reclined, which is not a desirable driving position. The adjustable lumbar support pushes on the top and middle of the pelvis and results in pinched nerves in the back. The seat cushion has very hard, raised sides, the roof of the car is low and curved down on the sides, the car is low to the ground and the seat is well inside the vehicle. The end result is that if I am trying to get into the vehicle and my hip hits the side of the seat instead of the soft part in the middle, I pull muscles in my side. The assist handle is no assistance and it is actually a hazard in a rollover since it could cause serious head injuries. It is right next to my head with the power seat in its highest position (about the only position that allows access to the pedals and still provides support for the thighs). I am 5 feet 11 inches tall. I have injured myself several times trying to get in and out of this vehicle.
