Hit a bump/hole on the interstate. Car didn't feel right so I pulled into rest area about 2 miles later. Got out looked at car everything seemed fine. Mind you my friend in the car thought I was overreacting. Pulled out of spot and heard something so I parked again (in the same rest stop). Looked and saw nothing. My buddy is just laughing at me. Pull away to get on interstate and this time had a louder noise. Buddy apologizes. Car starts to die as I try reversing into spot. This time I pop hood just to look. I know nothing about cars. The whole passenger side of my engine had broken off and fallen. Not out of the car, just down. So of course the driver side was lifted up. Insurance is now saying they may not cover it because its mechanical. Which I feel is absurd and a technicality hitting the bump caused the engine to break off period. My car is 6 years old....dashboard started coming up in front of passenger airbag about year or so ago, serpentine belt replaced twice, calipers replaced at 65000, and now at 85000 my engine breaks off my car. As my buddy says; it's ironic I own ford stock. Nice quality...my wife's 2005 Toyota rav 4: 100000 miles and not a single thing. Go figure.
